In 1979, at age 16, after the Shah government was overthrown, Samadi and his younger brother left Iran. Samadi went to New York where he obtained a bachelors ‘ degree in biochemistry with the help of friends and people from Belgium and London’s Persian-Jewish community.
Samadi has become one of the few surgeons in the United States and France that have been trained in the three main areas of urological procedure: open, laparoscopic and robotic.
